For the people on the outside looking in, car culture can seem like a strange thing. For the people that get it, however, nothing is quite as exciting as seeing a project car like this one: an all-wheel drive, turbocharged, V8-powered 1967 Volvo Amazon.
Built by Filip Malm and photographed by Speedhunters’ Dino Dalle Carbonare, this Volvo Amazon has been stripped and gutted to save weight, then stuffed with a modern, BMW-sourced 4.0L V8 engine and all-wheel drive powertrain.
There is almost no part of the Amazon that hasn’t received attention from Malm, but- even with BMW power- I think you’ll agree that this is one of the more unique Volvo builds out there.
