Be Thankful For This Volvo LeMans Racing Concept

Psalm 100:4 – Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Here in the ‘States, it’s Thanksgiving weekend. It’s one of America’s favorite holidays, and- for many- it’s a time to reflect on the people, places, and things that make life better. Today, I’m thankful for automotive artists Oriol Folch and Luis Lara, who designed the Volvo LMP1 LeMans-style race car you see here.

This is only an art project, sure- but it’s a very pretty art project. And, sadly, that’s probably all it will ever be. I say that because Folch and Lara seemed to design it around the same diesel hybrid template that led to Audi’s dominance of the LMP1 class for the better part of the last two decades while Volvo is pushing a pure electric model for high-performance with its new Polestar brand.

Even so- this thing looks great. Happy Thanksgiving, kids! Hug your family, tell your friends you love them, and give your Swede a nice wash and some fresh, synthetic oil.
