The world of custom cars is wide and vast. There are track cars, drift cars, rat rods, gassers, limos, safari/overlanders, restomods and everything in between. Every once in a while, though, you run across a build that defies being pigeon-holed into a category, and you just have to sit back and kind of take it in. And that’s CSudden’s P2 Volvo XC70 to a tee.
Up top, CSudden’s XC70 has the cargo basket and LEDs and intake snorkel you’d naturally expect from an overland build– but look at those lights up front. Combined with the aggressive, low-ish profile tires and gold-colored alloy wheels filling the flared wheel arches, the look is very Group B rally. I’d love to sit here and question it, maybe poke holes in the consistency of the build (or lack thereof), but it would all be jealousy-fueled bulls**t light-envy.
Heck, I’m even jealous of this dude’s breakfast!
Take a look through CSudden’s Instagram feed and check out some of the in-progress pictures of his XC70 build. Once you’re done with that, come back here and let us know what you think of his ride– and what you’d call it, while you’re at it– in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
Special thanks to CSudden.
